Pet Vaccine

Vaccinations protect your pet from a variety of potentially fatal diseases, including Parvo and Distemper in dogs and Rhinotracheitis and Leukemia in cats. Not only that, but vaccinations are significantly less expensive than the therapies available for the diseases against which pets are typically immunized.

Vaccines contain viruses or bacteria that have been engineered to be non-pathogenic. Vaccinating an animal stimulates two components of the animal’s immune system. The first is the generation of antibodies, and the second is the stimulation of cell-mediated immunity, both of which work together to generate a response against the bacterium or virus in question. If the dog or cat is later exposed to the disease, the two elements of the immune system will work together to destroy the disease-causing culprit.
